P-Card Project Each person will be assigned an item(s) by your professor during week one that will be procured for an office . You will research the item via the internet, catalogs, or other possible purchasing sources. You will visit two businesses websites for your item and obtain a quote for the item by placing it in the shopping cart. (NOTE: You must use a retailer or company such as Office Depot, Walmart, and so on. Do not use a platform like Amazon or Ebay). Do to the nature of our current viral situation do not visit a store. Do this virtually. You will be assigned an item and given a budget. Your goal is to research companies where you meet your budget and or save on your budget. This budget will include the purchase of the item(s) and shipping/transportation. EXAMPLE: 200 Black Ink Pens--Students will visit two suppliers websites and obtain two separate quotes in their cart for their unit/quantity provided by the professor. When researching your companies consider the following questions: What is the quality of the item(s) are they a name brand or an off brand? What is the companies return policy? How much is shipping? Do they offer a quantity discount? If so how many do you have to order in bulk to get the discount? How long has the company been in business? Research reviews on the company and see how they compare to other companies. After obtaining the quotes you will put together a Power Point containing the follow slides: Your can use more or less slides in your presentation than stated below. Just makes sure you have all the required information as stated below! Slide one: Title Slide with Course, Your Name, Professor Name, Date Slide two-three (can use more slides if needed): Pictures of your items and Quotes (Make sure the quotes are big enough to read and see). Slide four/five: Which company you would purchase from and why? (examples: low price, warranty, shipping, reviews, and so on.) Look at all areas and use what you have learned in this course.
