1. Pearson Correlation Coefficient

A correlational study was conducted to examine the relationships among variables identified in the literature related to childhood asthma. The variables included child problem behaviors total, child problem behaviors internalizing subset, child problem behaviors externalizing subset, caregiver emotional functioning quality of life (QOL), the severity of asthma, and child emotional functioning QOL. Asthma severity was measured with the Severity of Chronic Asthma Scale (SCA), child problem behaviors were measured with the Behavior Problem Index (BPI) and caregiver and child emotional functioning Qol were measured with scales developed by the researcher.
