People over the age of 65 have been highly successful in protecting and enhancing the benets they receive from Medicare. However, all of this comes at the expense of other people in society, particularly young people. In your initial post, address the following prompt based on what you've learned in this module about the public choice theory and the role of government in public spending: What do you think explains the ability of older people to win political battles with younger people to protect Medicare?
