Percival was Manny's lawyer for many years and not only handled legal matters for Manny, but also gave him important advice on business matters. At one stage, Manny owed Percival about $3000 for professional services; Percival suggested to Manny that the account could be conveniently settled in full if Manny would transfer his new Ferrari sports car to Percival.
