BAS approval meeting role play

Find two friends, family members, mentors or colleagues who can help you with this role play activity. You are Enrico an accounts clerk who works for Riscko. The other two colleagues that you are having a meeting with are Jen the Finance Manager and Abdul the Accountant.

You have completed a business activity statement and you are presenting it to Abdul and Jen for their approval.

You must present the business activity statement that you have completed in Project B (Part 2) of your assessment. Note that it is assumed that you prepared the BAS using computerised accounting software (actual preparation is not required for this task). During the meeting you must discuss the major components of the BAS such as G1. For example, you can discuss how you obtained the total sales figure in the BAS, and that the GST reporting is on an accrual basis. You must also briefly discuss the process of preparing the business activity statement using an accounting software of your choice. To prepare for the meeting please use internet research for this task.

During the presentation, you must demonstrate that you can successfully interact with your two colleagues. You must answer any relevant questions asked by Jen and Abdul. Your role play should be approximately seven minutes in duration. Your role play file can be uploaded to your assessment as an audio file attachment.
