Persuasive Messages

 

 

Context:

You are trying to raise funds for your favourite charity or non-profit organization. The funds are for a good cause - they will benefit the world or society in some way. Write a persuasive email addressed to all your classmates, asking them to contribute money. State the reasons why everyone should donate, and make your email very compelling.

 

• The email should be minimum 75% of a page (Maximum 1 pg)
• The email should include a brief description of the organization that everyone should donate to, why the donation is important, urgency of the situation, and how to donate.
• Apply motivational strategies from all 3 resources, especially the 6 shortcuts mentioned in the Science of Persuasion video
• Use the three-step writing process discussed in earlier lectures and try to customize your message for the target audience (your classmates)
