Pete Promoter was the producer of music concerts that used fireworks as a means to create excitement among the crowd. His lawyer advised him to have everyone who attended his concerts sign a document containing an exculpatory clause releasing Pete and his company from any and all liability, whether resulting from an intentional, reckless or negligent act.
