Based on critical review of at least five (5) journal articles, identify and discuss the concepts and theories of organisational culture, the impacts of organisational culture on organisational performance, and the role of leadership in developing and sustaining high performing or excellent culture.

Define organisational performance, and discuss the criteria for classifying organisations as 'high performing' and 'low performing' organisations. Select the two organisations for your study and give justifications for classifying one as high performing and the other as low performing.

Apply the knowledge that you have gained in (1) above to analyse the characteristics of the culture of the two organisations that you have selected.Were there any organisational cultural differences between 'high performing' and 'low performing' organisations? Were there any leadership role differences in the development and management of the organisational culture in the 'high performing' and 'low performing' organisations?

Based on the information that you have obtained from your analysis of the two selected organisations, and the literature review, recommend how the organisational cultures of the two selected organisations could be further justified what Peters and Waterman's described as the Excellent Cultures.
