Pharma Inc. offers physicians free tickets to the Thunder game without any requirement that the doctor prescribe their drugs. While at the Thunder game, these doctors are advised of the benefits of the Pharma brand drugs and advised that if they are interested in learning more, the company is sending its staff to training in the Bahamas for a week and the doctor can join them. The doctors do not go on the trip but do decide that the drug is a good deal for their patients, or at least as good as others, and decide that because Pharma is so nice to them, they prescribe their patients with the medicine. Is there a False Claims Act violation?
