This project proposal provides an opportunity for you to choose a case study and identify a related professional code of ethics and ethical framework. This proposal also builds toward Part One and Part Two of the project, in which you will expand on these responses to analyze and reflect on the case based on the code of ethics and ethical framework.
Your case study should come from the course textbook. Review the guidelines when choosing your case study in the Supporting Materials section. The case study you choose should be related to the professional code of ethics you also choose in this assignment and will provide the background for your work on the project. Consider these examples:
If you chose a case in a healthcare environment or focused on a health issue, you may want to select a code of ethics from healthcare or nursing.
If you chose a case involving a workplace, consumers, corporate social responsibility, or sustainability, you may want to select a code of ethics from business.

For your project proposal, you must address the following criteria:
Identify a case study from the Supporting Materials section of this assignment.
Identify a professional code of ethics from a profession or organization that is related to the case study you select in this assignment. This is the code of ethics you will use in your project.

Phase two
Module Three Project Draft Introduction and Background Guidelines and Rubric
Overview
In the previous module, you worked on your project proposal, where you chose your case study and professional code of ethics and considered related ethical frameworks. In this week's assignment, you will begin to write your draft for Part One of the project. You will also finalize your choice of ethical frameworks related to your case study and professional code of ethics. You will address the rest of Part One in Module Five.
For this project draft, you will write the beginning of the case analysis for your project. As a reminder, you should review the work done and selections you made in the Module Two Project Proposal assignment.
Directions
Using the case study and professional code of ethics you chose for the project proposal, you will do the following:
Introduce the audience to the key problems and issues of the case.
Analyze the ethical components of the case.
To do this, you will finalize your choice of an ethical framework, considering what you identified in the project proposal.
To choose a case study, refer to the instructions in the Supporting Materials section. To choose an ethical framework, refer to the overview in the Module One Guide. Use the professional code of ethics you chose in Module Two Project Proposal.
You must cite the case study, professional code of ethics, and ethical framework, but no other sources are required.
Phase three
Module Five Project Draft Options and Recommendation Guidelines and Rubric
Overview
In the Module Two Project Proposal, you chose your case study and professional code of ethics. In the Module Three Project Draft, you chose the ethical framework and wrote the beginning of the case analysis. In this assignment, you will continue writing the case analysis. Before you proceed with this project draft, review the feedback you received on the project proposal and the previous draft. You will continue to use the same case study, ethical frameworks, and professional code of ethics from those assignments.
Directions
Part One: Case Analysis
In the section of Part One that you completed for Module Three Project Draft Introduction and Background, you introduced the audience to the key problems and issues of the case. You also began analyzing the ethical components of the case.
Note: Review the feedback your instructor provided on your project draft introduction and background. If your draft needed improvement in any area(s), be sure to revise as needed.
Now, for this project draft options and recommendation, you will complete the second part of Part One: Case Analysis to provide an ethical solution and recommendation.
Specifically, you must address the following criteria:
- Identifypossible solutionsto the case.
- Describe thestrengths and limitationsof each solution you identified.
- Recommend a solution from the ones you identified. Then, justify yourrecommendationas the most ethical solution.
- Evaluate your recommended solution using variousethical perspectives.
- Describe theethical implicationsof your solution.

Overview
People often find themselves in situations where they need to make decisions or propose solutions that are well supported and based on established ethical principles. Throughout this course, you have selected a case study, looked at ethical frameworks and related principles, and considered a set of professional codes of ethics related to your selected case study. For this project, you will take that information and incorporate it into the two parts of this project, analyzing a case study, presenting the related facts, suggesting an equitable solution, and applying relevant ethical frameworks toward a final solution.

Use the same case study, ethical framework, and professional code of ethics you selected earlier in this course.
