You will describe this motion in the quantitative terms of time, velocity and acceleration. As well, this laboratory will serve as an introduction to the experimental setup we will use in three out of the five labs in Physics 20. QUESTION We consider a cart rolling on a track pulled by a hanging mass to answer the following questions: 1. What type of motion does the cart undergo (uniform, non-uniform, accelerated, etc.)? 2. If the motion is accelerated, is the acceleration constant? 3. What is your best estimate of the acceleration? DIAGRAM cart HYPOTHESIS (Refer to the diagram above). When the hanging mass is dropped, the cart is pulled along the track. State a hypothesis regarding the type of motion that the cart will undergo (uniform, non-uniform, accelerated, etc.). Explain your reasoning
