Picture a concert hall with a symphony orchestra on the stage. Before the concert, the musicians go through their individual routines to warm up and tune their respective instruments. The noise created by these individuals each doing their own thing is called a cacophony defined as a harsh or jarring sound or simply a dissonance. A symphony, on the other hand, is defined as a consonance of sounds or simply harmonious and pleasing to the ear. Organizations can either be characterized by dissonance or harmony. A symphony is led by a conductor and individual musicians who all agree to play from the same score!
