Task 1: Risk Assessment

Need to providethree (3) online exercise sessions ( MOCK-UP ), and conduct a risk assessment prior to planning and delivering each one. This task requires you to conduct risk assessments and include at leastone (1) common hazard generally found in online exercise in each risk assessment.

Three Risk Register templates have been provided for you below, including reference tables for determining the level of risk for each hazard.

  1. Determine and describe your legal and business considerations for the delivery of live online exercise sessions intwo (2) or more sentences.

Task 2: Session Planning (Mock-up only )

You are now required to planthree (3) online exercise sessions using the program cards provided within this section of your assessment portfolio. Each session must have a minimum duration of30 mins. In Task 2, you conducted a risk assessment for each session. Each session designed below must take into account the risk assessment conducted for it.

Over thethree (3) sessions, at least:

  • One (1) must be conducted on an individual (one-on-one)
  • One (1)must be for a group with a minimum offour (4) and maximum ofeight (8)participants.

Instructions on how to complte this task

  1. Design a workout for each live online exercise session using the program cards provided after the checklist below.You will also need to refer back to each program card for the safety brief you must provide in Block 4 Task 1.

  1. Using the table below you must identifytwo (2) other additional resources that support and complement the online experience of your clients. For each additional resource you identify, you must also describe inone (1) sentence or more how you will incorporate them into your online exercise services.

  1. .Technology equipment must include basic technology to host live online exercise sessions but may also include fitness technology equipment if you use it during the session (e.g. heart rate monitoring, treadmills...etc). Basic fitness equipment such as dumbbells and resistance bands do not count as technology equipment.

Task 2: Client Performance and Feedback

This task will involve interpreting data from a recording of the online group exercise session. You will be required to evaluate the performance oftwo (2) clients and provide them feedback. You must also include edited footage from the online exercise session for each client, so they can visually relate their feedback to their performance.

  1. Compose and send a message or email to each client with their areas of improvement. Ensure this feedback is provided constructively and positively. Provide a screenshot of the message or email to each client in the Feedback provided to client areas of the Client Performance and Feedback table.

Task 3: Identify Maintenance Problems and Refer Appropriately

This Assessment Portfolio ends with a final task requiring you to identify maintenance problems with fitness technology equipment and refer the problem to the appropriate person to action. You will be required to inspect your own equipment or equipment located in a gym or fitness facility.

Some examples of fitness technology equipment include(but are not limited to):

  • Stationary cycles with virtual cycling monitors
  • Assault runners and treadmills
  • General cardiovascular fitness equipment with digital displays
  • Resistance machines with digital rep counters
  • Wearable gadgets such as heart rate monitors and step counters.

Appropriate personnel for maintenance issue referral may include(but are not limited to):

  • The manufacturer of the equipment
  • Tradesperson such as an electrician
  • Gym manager

Instructions on how to complete this task

  1. Perform an inspection onthree (3) different pieces of technology equipment to identify maintenance issues and refer problems to appropriate personnel for action.
