Plan optimal transit systems, resources and routes by completing the following activities:

1. Determine the characteristics of the freight to be handled and stored in order to plan optimally for the movement of freight.
2. Select the type of transit system according to the characteristics of the freight and in relation to the availability of appropriate transit infrastructure.
3. Routes are identified, planned and selected according to the characteristics of the freight and in relation to the availability of appropriate transit infrastructure.
4. Identify facilities, machines and equipment in the most optimal combination according to the characteristics of the freight.
