The question you need to answer is whether the vertical distance traveled by a passive drop is predictable from the resulting stain.

  1. Using a tape measure, and your "blood" in a dropper, squeeze out one drop from a height of 10 cm to the paper on the floor or table.
  2. Mark on the paper the distance for that stain.
  3. Repeat this for 25cm, 50cm, 75cm, and finally 100cm (1m).
  4. Look at the size of the resulting stain. Which are the smallest and which are the largest? Can the 75cm and 100cm stain be easily distinguished from one another? Record your answers and, if you can, post a photo of your test.
