For this assignment, select the same scenario that you used for Assignment H2. You must include your part 1 (WBS), and part 3 (indentured list including durations) from that assignment. You may choose to update those diagrams if you wish. You may alternatively choose to change your scenario to a different one from below, or choose your scenario from Assignment H1 but you must then additionally create new all the diagrams from Assignment \#2 part 1 (WBS), and part 3 (indentured list including durations): 1. Large one-time party. This must be a UNIQUE celebration/event. It may include a wedding, anniversary, engagement or birthday, MUST BE UNIQUE using real people you know as resources e.g. family members, friends, etc. 2. Renovation of a home (one or more rooms) 3. Building of a house 4. A family picnic 5. A small informal sports event (e.g. family baseball/soccer game) 6. Writing of a software application 7. Cooking of an elaborate dinner (including cooking steps) 8. A project of your choice, but you must obtain explicit PRE-APPROVAL FROM THE INSTRUCTOR for your topic. Part 1. WBS with Work Package Budgets ( 10 marks) Prepare a version of your Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) showing the break-down of budgeted amounts for each Work item associated with your selected scenario. Ensure that your diagram: - Adheres to the WBS as per the structure and format as presented in the class i,e. ensure that work items are nouns. - Instead of, or above, the resource name, specify the budgeted amount allocated for that work item. Ensure that the budgeted amount estimated are realistic based on the associated activities that appear below them. - Include the relevant Activities below each of the lowest level work item. You do NOT need to show budgeted cost allocated for the specific activities on the WBS, but these activities MUST later appear on your budget in Part 2. DO ensure that activities begin with a verb. Provide the WBS in a graphic chart/diagram format. Note: Your name must appear somewhere on the diagram. Part 2: Sample Budget (10 marks) Prepare a Sample Budget for the work items and activities from your WBS. Refer to the sample budgets and/or MS Project Gantt Chart from the slides from Chapter 7 as examples: For the Sample Budget: - List all Workitems and related activities as an Indentured ust. - For activities, include the duration for the activity in a separate column. - Where applicable, in different columns specify the estimates for the different types of costs for each activity.
