Please answer corresponding to my test results and flow the format and length of the examples(keep it short and simple)
Reflect on your results in terms of where you fall on the accompanying grid and respond to the following questions. Given your preferred style of communication, how can you build flexibility in all four styles discussed in this chapter? You may also consider the preferred style of others you have collaborated with in the past and who you are currently collaborating with. Can you practice responding in a different style? Do you already align?
example 1
In "Communication Styles Assessment, my result is expressive with median high sensitivity and median high influence. My communication style via email maybe describes the big picture first then describe it in detail. And I tend to present creative ideas using action language.
I think it is crucial to building flexibility in the four different communication styles because we would work with a wide variety of people. When we communicate with people with different personalities, we must understand their communication styles to communicate more effectively and avoid unnecessary misunderstandings and conflicts. This flexibility allows for a better understanding of what the other person is trying to say and how to convey our ideas perspicuously to others. I needed to understand very clearly the difference between the four communication styles and how to apply them in different situations. In my previous communication, I think I consciously changed my way of communication according to different people's patterns of conversation. But I havent gotten in touch with such detailed knowledge of different communication styles before. After learning this chapter, I will pay more attention to the other person's style when I communicate and receive emails, and make adjustments in my reply emails. I will improve my flexibility through continuous practice.
example 2
In my self-assessment, my communication style is driver, with a sensitivity rating of 1.68 influence rating of 2.8. This is very consistent with my usual life style of communication. In my emails, I tend to prefer emails that are concise and show me the results at once, and tell me the specific actions and requirements needed.
In our future work life we will inevitably meet different people with different personalities, so it is especially important to build a flexible communication style. According to the results of the self-assessment I should be able to switch between driver and analytical directly and easily, but I need to put more emphasis on expressive and amiable. I didn't realize the importance of communication styles until I learned the four types of communication styles, but the professor used his own real life examples to show us the importance of communication styles. The professor used his own real-life examples to show us the importance of communication style. You need to use the right communication style for different people, and the wrong communication style may cause you not to get the results you want.
I think that in the future I will focus on the communication style of the recipient of the email and make appropriate changes to my email style in comparison to the communication style of the recipient. I will study the emails that I think have a better communication style and find out their strengths and weaknesses for learning and noticing. Identify and memorize the characteristics, structure, tone, and symbols of the four different styles of communication. Use the characteristics of each communication style for writing practice.
