In a contract for the supply of lumber (wood), the claimants agreed to purchase from the defendants a minimum of 22,000 standards of softwood goods of fair specification in 1930 and, in addition, the contract contained an option to buy a further 100,000 standards in 1931. Suppose that the claimants only bought 12,000 standards from the defendants in 1930 but, in 1931, the claimants ordered the further 100,000 standards.
