Like Flag Hi Class, As we continue our discussion this week it will be interesting to explore the concepts of a patient centered care model in more depth. Focusing on the patient and their needs is important and other approaches like integrated systems of care are often congruent with patient-centered care. This week, for additional exploration it will be interesting to hear your thoughts about what you think is important in a patient centered environment. Some questions to stimulate thought and conversation. What does patient-centered care mean to you? What are some key things that organizations should do to address patient centered care objectives? What standards or measures do you think can be useful in organizations that are developing their patient-centered strategies? What kinds of pitfalls might be encountered?
