Please consider the following case study for ER modeling. A college has some attributes such as its name (which is unique), location, type (public or private) and the number of students. A college consists of a number of departments that have attributes of department code, department name and the number of staff in the department. Both department code and department name are unique individually across the college. A department consists of a number of staff but staff can be appointed by a few different departments at the college. A staff member, which is identified by his/her staff ID, have other attributes of name, gender and address. Staff can work either on a full-time or part-time basis. The full-time staff have the salary information while the part-time staff have the allowance information. A department can enrol a number of students but a student can be enrolled with one or multiple departments. A student is identified by their student number and has other information such as name, DoB and address. In this context, answer the following questions: (a) How do we classify binary relationships into 1-to-1 relationships, 1-to-many relationships and many-to-many relationships in the ER modeling? (b) What is the " enhanced" feature for the Enhanced Entity-Relationship (EER) diagrams when compared with the ordinary ER diagrams? (c) Draw an Enhanced Entity-Relationship (EER) diagram corresponding to the text given above. Put the diagram on a page of its own in your examination booklet. Make sure to include in the EER diagram all the attributes in the application and mark out primary keys. Your ER diagram should model all but only the concepts involved in the case study including college, department, staff (and its sub-categories) and students. (d) Write down the relational schema that results from translating the EER diagram. Please properly highlight the primary key for each of the resulting tables. Please follow the rules we teach in the class for the translation
