Client: The Young Mark Congrove, fresh out of high school and interested "How to Handle Problem People"

My situation:

I have been raised in a small family and am an only child. I have grown up in a small mid-western town of Medina, Ohio, about 35 miles from Cleveland. My father manages a local hardware store and my mother is a auto title cleark for Medina county. We have attended the same church in Akron, Ohio about 20 miles away, all of my life. My Sunday School teacher led me to the Lord when I was twelve years of age and I have been involved in the youth group at our church. I was impacted by the ministry of a Christian Camp in South Carolina, where I rededicated my life to Christ. I attended public school in Medina, Ohio, all my life and attended Medina Senior High school for all four years. I particapated in some intramurral sports and a service organizaton known as Key Club.

I am unsure what I want to do in my life, but I am thinking I might like to pursue medicine. I have also done some thinking about the military-- maybe with the idea of going to West Point military academy, or the Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs and I have even considered Marine aviation. My counselors have suggested I apply to several colleges so I have applied to Miami University of Ohio, Ohio State, and University of Akron.

Your challenge:

Make a talk, 7-10 minutes long and drawing upon the principles and subject matter we have discussed throughout the semenster share with the class (me) what I should consider in preparation for becoming a leader and successful in life. You are free to ask any questions of me either before the talk or during the talk. It does not need to be formally delivered, you can present it as a one on one (with the class listening in), and you are free to choose the media you desire to help me, or you do not have to use media at all.

Draw upon your own personality, giftedness, and experience -- anything you feel comfortable with and that you think might help me understand your principles.

Here are some of the principles and concepts that need to included:

-The importance of integrity -The place of godlienss in my life -The understanding of communication -How to handle "problem" people. -What to do with my weaknesses -The importance of financial planning and proper money mangagement -Conflict -- its origins and mangagment -Leadership development -Public speaking
