Assume that motors are running at rated power with 0.85 lagging power factor. 1) Draw an equivalent single-line reactance diagram with all reactance indicated in per unit of 100MVA,13.8kV or 115kV base 2) Determine the voltage required at the generator terminal to maintain the terminal voltage of the motors at 1.0pu. 3) Determine the voltage required at the generator terminal to maintain the terminal voltage of the motors at 1.0 pu if capacitor banks are connected at the terminal of the motors to correct the power factor to 1.0
