We conducted a series of confirmatory factor an- alyses using Mplus 7 (Muthe n & Muthe n, 2010) on the measurement items of relational uncertainty, team identification, task performance, and turnover intention. The four-factor model provided an ade- quate fit: x2 5 336.73, df 5 146; comparative fit index (CFI) 5 .91; standardized root mean square residual (SRMR) 5 .06. This model was compared with an alternative model in which team identification and turnover intention were combined into one factor because they were reported by the same people at the same time. This three-factor model provided a poor fit:x25671.19,df5149;CFI5.76;SRMR5.10.A chi-squared difference test showed that it fitted sig- nificantly worse than the four-factor model: x2 5 334.46, df 5 3, p , .01.
