But when I got the computations using machine hours with the base of allocation, I faced a big variation and also observe a lesser total cost, which generate higher profit. Generating higher profit will be a worthy outcome, so the firm must accept the machine hours for their computations and base of allocation. Additionally; because of the automation and improvement in technology; equipment will be more effective and usable. Furthermore, because the machineries will be heterogeneous, I will then require diverse labor number for each. Few of them are highly automated whereas some of them are low automated. Thus, again I recognize that machine hours would be a better base of allocation as compared to labor hours.
