Subject Statistics 101

Do you agree with this person's exampleof independent samples t-test. Please explain why you agree with this person's answer.

My independent samples t-test would study whether girls or boys develop the ability to walk sooner. People have so many theories on the differences in the maturation process of boys and girls, so I would like to do test to determine which group learns to walk earlier than the other. I would hypothesize that there is not a significant mean difference between the average age at which each sex learns to walk. I don't know the biology of it, so I could be wrong, but if in the first 18 months of life both sexes develop physically at the same rate, then I would think that how soon a baby learns to walk would not be determined by their sex but by the environment that surrounds themwhether they have a parent or parents who encourage them to walk, or who make a point of exercising their legs to strengthen them, or whether they have older, walking siblings whom they can model, etc.
