Subject Statistics 101

Do you agree with this person example of hight amount of variability and low amount of variability. Please explain why you agree with this person answer

Variability means variety of something, lack of pattern. A variable with high amount of variability is, shoe size. This has high variability, as the answers are not going to be consistent. An example of this, is collected data of shoes sizes from kids that attend Pierce College. This data will have a variety of answers, as there are a variety of categories for shoe sizes. For example, some students with small feet wear kids sizing shoes, whereas, people with larger feet can wear either men or women sizing. A variable that has a low amount of variability is whether someone is a smoker. This has more consistency, as the only two options to answer with are yes, or no. If you see a graph of these two charts, you will clearly be able to see the variety of chart one compared to chart two, as there will be points spread out on chart one, but only two different points of chart two.
