I agree with this theory, the actor should immerse himself in his role so that the audience believes the actor. This is what Johnny Depp means. He says that if an actor plays a role that does not become a part of him, the audience will not believe him, and it is as if the actor is lying to the audience. To find the role he wants, the actor must live with that role. fill that role as if it were himself. Many actors live with those who look like a role for a long time to find all the behaviors, feelings, physique, posture, and walking of the desired role. This search is the theory of Johnny Depp.

I think Johnny Depp in his quote meant that acting is a skill or a gift that someone has. Otherwise if someone does not have the skill then he/she will be lying to themselves. Johnny does not mean that someone cannot get in to acting through training. He means that the person has to have some amount of skills that pushed them to acting. People should have the skills or interest because they have to effectively portray characters, ideas, and emotions to an audience. I also think that Johnny meant that whatever an actor is performing it has to be part of his/her experience.
