Organizational culture relates to how workers engage and work together to assigned roles and achieve set objectives. Organizationalmanagers instill effective cultural practices that offer different benefits to the organization and employees. The main concepts that organizational managers use to drive change include awareness, motivations, and abilities that enhance the organization's behaviors.
Awareness refers to shared aims through which organizations acknowledge the market competition and their impact on the market. Through awareness, the organization understands the essential areas that need improvement to deal with competition. Besides, organizations use awareness to understand shared resources with the market competitors (Ireland, Hitt & Hoskisson, 2016). As such, the organization understands the market structure, competitors, and the best way to deal with competition.
The resources ability of the organization defines its capacity to deal with competition. The ability of an organization is tied to the financial capabilities, technology used, and skills. Organizations with high abilities have an excellent opportunity to close any deal against competitors (Ireland, Hitt & Hoskisson, 2016). Besides, the output has the capability of realizing high standards, thus creating a solid brand.
Motivation is an important aspect that enables an organization to gain a competitive advantage. A motivated workforce is more productive in the company. Although motivation comes from rewards in terms of promotions and incentives, the concept fosters an organizational culture that enhances employees' productivity and well-being. Motivation is a crucial aspect of encouraging workers to achieve organizational goals (Chen, Su & Tsai, 2007). Although motivation is linked to financial incentives, corporate managers need to improve the working environment because it is one critical factor in motivating the workforce. A good working environment fosters competitive behavior in organizations.
