Please give me your own opinion along with rebuttals and support; offering a well reasoned and articulate discussion including analysis of the relevant facts, legal issues, statutes and precedent, and the rationale for your arguments on the legal implications of the following scenario:Bohemus and Gomerwere employed at the East Texas Possum Tail Soup plant. Their jobs required them to perform occasional maintenance work while standing on a wire mesh twenty feet above the plant floor. Over the years other employees had fallen through the mesh, and one of them had been killed by falling into a large vat of boiling possum tails. When Bohemus and Gomer were asked by their supervisor to perform tasks that would require them to walk on the mesh, they refused.Gomer told the supervisor that he was afraid of heights as the basis for his refusal.Bohemus told the supervisor that he had a dream that gave him a premonition that if he ever got on the mesh he would fall and suffer bodily harm. Because of their refusal to do the requested work, Bohemus and Gomer were fired from their jobs. They loved their jobs and protested being fired. As the local wizard of employment law and litigation they come to you for help.
