During the height of the COVlD-19 pandemic, many people adopted one or more dogs. For people working remotely or not working at all, walking the dogs provided a good excuse to get out and get some exercise. And of course the dogs provided companionship for people who did not feel safe getting together with other people. But now that the pandemic has eased people have gone back to work, and so they aren't at home as much to walk their dogs. As a result, the demand for dogwalking services has increased (a clog-walking service will come to your home while you're away and take your dog for a walk, giving the dog much-needed exercise). Most dog-walking services are relatively small businesses, often sole proprietorships. Dog-walking businesses are not especially hard to open - Very little monetary investment is required; there is no particular education required; no special license is needed. Various dogwalking services tend to be very similar, so there is little difference in the service provided by one dogwalker compared to another.
