For this activity you and your fellow students will submit your results to create a large data set. data below:

Card area (mm^2) | Uncertainty (mm^2) |

1. To work with the data, you will need to open it using a spreadsheet, or similar program that allow you to perform some analysis. The application Google Sheets, or Microsoft Excel are two common programs which are readily available to you.
2. When comprehending data, it is often better to visualize the data using a plot. In this particular case where we have singular, independent measurements, a histogram is useful. Create a histogram chart of the card areas. In a few sentences, discuss 'obvious' outliers in the data set. The outliers that were identified, how would one justify that they are indeed outliers and can be omitted from the results?
3.Work to remove obvious outliers from your data set and then perform the computed calculation of the mean and standard deviation. In Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel, the mean and standard deviation are built-in functions.
4.Report the mean value and standard deviation of the data set. In a few sentences, outline the choosing process for removing outliers.
5.Comment on how the uncertainty of the results from using the "shared" results compared to your singular result from the previous section.
6.In a few sentences suggest on possible places where error might have occurred during the process - reasonable guesses to why there were outliers. We should assume that you, and everyone else participating had done their best - however, that doesn't preclude unaccounted reasons of error.
