QUESTIONS AND INSTRUCTIONS QUESTION 1 Bakar and Bainun is a married couple in their late 30's. Bakar is an internal audit manager and Bainun work as finance manager. Since their married 5 years ago, Bakar and Bainun have been living comfortably. Their income exceeded their expenditures. Now Bainun is three months pregnant and is concerned whether they can make ends meet should she wants to quit working after giving birth. Bakar told Bainun not to worry but the arguments given by Bakar are not convincing enough. Therefore she starts to gather all related information that might be useful in analysing their future abilities to survive without having any financial problems. She seeks Eky Consultant Ltd, a financial consultant company to give them advises on that matter. You as the consultant of the company need to analyse the below information and try to answer all questions rendered. (25 marks) b) Construct the family's budget for the next year based on this information, assuming Bainun is going to work for the rest of the following year: i. Spend medical expenses for the birth of their first child amount RM5,000. ii. Clothing will increase 40% from previous. iii. Food, electricity and water, telephone and medical expenses will increase by 20% iv. Child insurance RM1800. v. Child stroller RM2,000 vi. Child car seat RM 1,800 vii. Breast pump RM 2,000 viii. Expenses during confinement RM 2,000 ix. Visa for helper RM10,000 x. Helper salary RM12,000 (15 marks) c) Comment on the family financial conditions at the present and comment on what will happen if Bakar is still insisting Bainun to quit her job after giving birth to their first child.
