Th analysis will xplor th organizational structur of FEMA, Brown's ladrship styl and comptncis, th crisis managmnt stratgis mployd, and th outcoms of thos stratgis in th fac of on of th most dvastating natural disastrs in United State history.
Crisis/Event/Accomplishment:
Before Hurricane Katrina, FEMA and then-director Michael DeWayne Brown prepared the federal government's response, urging evacuations and declaring states of emergency. During the hurricane, Brown coordinated the response and established disaster recovery centers. However, he faced criticism for his lack of experience and perceived delays.
