Hello Everyone,
My name is Alex Riggan and I'm located in a small town in central Arkansas. My wife and I have two little girls that always keep us on our toes. One of our favorite things to do as a family is to crappie fish. Me and my girls love to tie up our own jigs so that we can play around with the colors. In my local town, we have several parks and hiking trails that everyone enjoys walking, running, or riding bikes on. They are wonderful and well-kept; some even slightly venture out of city limits, that way one can see the mountains around us. They are a great place to spend a Saturday afternoon hiking with the kids, but I do have an issue with a policy that is set in place. They do not allow dogs to not be on hiking trails or parks. I do understand the safety reasons why they do not allow dogs to be on the trails, but there are many people who would love to take an afternoon stroll with their dogs. One thing that I would do to change the policy is to get a petition started and post signs around town bringing everyone's attention to it. Even though people have their opinions about the policy there are ethical reasons why the local government has them in place (Kraft, 2018). The government set this policy in place because irresponsible dog owners would not put them on a leash while they were walking down the trials. Causing some people to be bitten or harassed by the dogs. I think the policy is a great way to protect the public from these types of owners, but they could have different trails designated for dogs. Just enforce a leash law for the owners who choose to walk their dogs.

Hello everyone,
My name is Arctavia and this is my first year at PGU. I'm studying to get my bachelor's in health information management. I reside in Florida, have one child (son), and currently working at a doctor's office as a medical office specialist. During my free time, I enjoy listening to music, going to the gym, sleeping, which is always a plus, and shopping. After I complete the program, I plan on finding an entry-level job within 3-4 months post-graduation, preferably in a hospital setting. One issue that interests me is housing policies impacting indigenous communities, causing low-income tenants to have to leave their homes due to rising housing costs. State officials and municipalities should imply ways of safeguarding low-income tenants from being displaced. There have been numerous studies over the years about ways to resolve the issue, but they haven't made a decision about which policy they should take to prevent displacement. I would raise awareness in a heartbeat because this isn't happening just in my community but in communities nationwide.
