The difference between total sugars and added sugars is that total sugars include both the added sugars and the natural sugars that are naturally found in fruit and milk, the added sugars are the ones that you want to limit from your diet because they are additional sweeteners that are added to foods or beverages during processing.

Total sugars in Blueberry equal 18 grams, and is all from natural sugar because blueberry bar has zero grams of added sugar.

Total sugars in Kellogg equal 13 grams, so in actuality only 1 gram of natural sugar, because Kellogg bar has 12 grams of added sugar.

Added sugars in Blueberry equal zero grams

Added sugars in Kellogg equal 12 grams

Total sugars are all sugars in a product, both natural and added . Added sugars are sugars introduced to products or foods to add flavor or extend shelf life. On a nutritional label, added sugars are listed as a subset of total sugars and reducing added sugars intake can help control extra calories in the diet. The Blueberry RX Bar has 18 gram of sugar and Kellogg Nutri-Grain Bar has12 gram of sugar and also 12 more gram of added sugars . The biggest difference of each bar is one of the bars more sugar and one is a grained bar and the other is a RX bar which that it is a who.e food protein bar with minimal and clean ingredients that are gluten , soy, and diary free. And the nutrition grain bar is like a breakfast bar that are made from whole grains, refined flour, and fruit and this is more sweeter bar that has added sugars and other sweetness. And the ingredients that I wasn't familiar with was in the RX bar that is called pantothenate which is a B5 vitamin it is important because it breaks down the foods we eat into substance for many processes in the body that we can use.
