Consider the null hypothesis Ho : B, = B2 against the alternative H, : B, # B2 . (a) Test Ho against H, to determine whether the two regression lines have equal slope by the Sen-Adichie statistic I at the 5% level of significance. [8] (b) If the test in part (a) accepts Ho, estimate the common slope B = B, = B2 based on combined 10 pairs of (x, Y) ; otherwise estimate B, and 2 separately, using the method related to the Theil test. [6] (c) Find exact confidence interval(s) for each slope estimated in part (b) with at least 90% confidence level. You may use R to find relevant values. [6]
