QUESTION 3 (15 MARKS: 45 MINUTES) Azalia work as a Senior Designer at a multinational graphic design company, Rise Berhad. Azalia joined the company right after she graduated from a famous design academy in the United States of America in June 2014. Since then, Azalia has been climbing the career ladder starting as a Junior Designer and were being promoted to Senior Designer in October 2020. Securing a big tender for the company in 2021, Azalia was being promoted again as Chief Design Officer (CDO) in 1 June 2021. Following are the details of incomes and benefits Azalia received from Rise Berhad for the year 2021: 1. A monthly salary of RM8,800 after EPF deduction of 11% as Senior Designer, and RM15,400 after EPF deduction of 11% as CDO. 2. RM1,000 per month for travelling expenses, in which she claims 80% are for official purpose. She also receives RM500 allowance per month for parking. 3. She receives two months gross salary as bonus in 2021 for her excellent performance in 2020. 4. Rise Berhad rewarded her RM10,000 as appreciation for winning the Best Designer Award in 2021. 5. Rise Berhad also paid her income tax RM16,000 for the year 2020. 6. The company granted an option for Azalia to buy the company's shares at RM5 per share in 2019 (capped at 2,000 unit), where the market value of the share at that time was RM9. In November 2021, Azalia decided to exercise the option when the market price has already gone up to RM11 per share. 7.
