The company that we plan to propose is a revolutionary product/service that combines the best of both worlds in terms of the two biggest industries in the world today. Product technology and the food industry. We aim to improve the way that food you order on your mobile phone is being delivered to your doorstep. This is going to be achieved with the help of drones. With us not being experts in the technicality factor of this venture we have plans to seek out help from already well-established drone manufacturer DJI drones. The product would be technically dealt and designed by their team. The reason for this is that there have been many issues with the food delivery process from companies such as uber eats and door dash in terms of human error. For example, food being stolen by the delivery personnel itself, the food being delivered to the wrong house and most of all, the late delivery times. As with every industry there is always bound to be some competition. We also plan to be working with reputable fast food and comfort food restaurants to promote the new delivery method. Sure, there are other companies such as door dash and uber eats mentioned above that use this technology in some countries. However, the reason that we are going to be better Is that we will provide the one service that they don't have which will be done by the manufacturer of the drone allowing the customer to change directions and add orders along the way. This Is not a feature that currently available with the competition. This is what we mainly aim to solve with this idea.

In our presentation, we have one big picture role and two process roles. The role we have been chosen is based on our intention to look for collaborators and to build marketing relationships. The best person to be a big picture role is visionary. The main job for him is to provide guidance and persuade famous food delivery companies to collaborate. Visionary can vividly describe a picture, like if these food delivery companies work with us, what kind of benefits they can get from us. Order time saving or save labors to delivery. For these two process roles are facilitator and Liaison. Facilitator ground the vision in reality. He or she will clearly introduce our new product step-by-step in detail, showing the process of delivery Drone works. Liaisons solve problems, build relationships, and make necessary connections between companies. Because they are resourceful and sociable, so if any companies are interested in our new product, Liaison is the one who to call.

Our food delivery service is aimed at making life easier for busy people who don't have the time to cook or go to the grocery store. Our audience would be the potential investors from a certain company. To be specific, three people from the investor company will be there namely the CEO, the secretary, and a senior director of the company. The CEO is the one who makes the important decisions for his company and the one who makes sure that the company is in a good condition. He also has the highest position in the company and therefore has the most influential opinion in the meeting and the most powerful in his company. The next person in the room is the CEO's secretary. Being the secretary, he has the responsibility to note down all the details of the business meeting and is the one who presents the CEO with the relevant details of our business as we interact in the meeting. He is also the one who relays information to us about the details of the meeting and the decision of the CEO. Lastly, a senior director of the company will be at the meeting. The senior director will be the one who spearheads the business project and handles all the necessary procedures of the project provided that the CEO will approve my business proposal. She is also the one who will manage and supervise the business project, makes necessary decisions regarding the business, and the one who collaborates and cooperates with us. In the said business meeting, we are in the investor's company office along with the three people mentioned. The investors are at their offices because they are in their own territory. On the other hand, we are in their company's office because we are the one who is seeking to propose and present our business proposal and hopefully come to an agreement with them, while they are the ones who will make the decision about the presented business proposal.

We will focus on one intention and identify the central idea, so our intention is looking for these famous big delivery companies like uber eats, door dash etc. to cooperate with us. Thinking about if their customers order hot food, but they only receive cold food. Thinking about when their customers want to add one dish after they already ordered. From my personal experience, I am a regular customer of food delivery companies, every time I order food delivery, I have to wait around one hour. Sometimes the restaurant I want to order from is far from my home, then it doesn't deliver to my home or has a high delivery fee. I hope these delivery platforms can increase their delivery speed and I can order any restaurant I want to eat. If they can deliver efficiently, of course, the number of their customers would increase a lot. So, cooperate with us and let the food fly!

  1. Pitches MUST be five minutes in length (not four minutes, not six minutes
  2. For the sake of the exercise it will be assumed that whatever good or service or recruitment benefit your team may offer, others will be able to offer the same thing. So the question is: why would we choose your group over another? The answer must be because your team is more appealing, trustworthy, and professional and, importantly, actively works to overcome the primary OBSTACLE to the client saying "yes" to your proposal. We do not deal with price in this exercise; and generally price is not discussed during pitches or promotions. Price is always relative and negotiable at a later date. Remember, the way in which you present is a bigger deciding factor in being awarded business than the content of the presentation. The way you present reflects the way you will do business!
  3. We are not doing direct sales! This is not like selling cds out of the trunk of a car. We are not making individual sales to individual people. Think big! You are seeking collaborators, investors, mass buyers, talent or distributors (think big box stores or large established companies). And ask yourselves, why would/should they pick you instead of the competition? There is ALWAYS competition!
  4. As discussed in class, presentations must be integrated and look like natural conversation, to the degree this is possible working from a script. If the pitch appears to be two or three separate presentations simply stuck together, the grade for the presentation will be zero. There must be numerous "hand offs". Conversation should move fluently back and forth between teammates to the point where it appears that teammates are completing one-another's thoughts. Teammates should also prompt, encourage, echo, interject, etc. But never correct unless absolutely necessary. And if necessary, do so politely, gently, and humorously. Remember, you are only as good as your partner(s). Your job is to make your teammate(s) look good!
  5. There must be a clear team lead (we call this person the Facilitator) who is ultimately responsible for things going smoothly, in rehearsal and during the pitch itself. It should be clear who is running the show and who one would approach after the pitch, were one interested in moving forward. All other team-members must have assigned roles, that are clear and maintained throughout the presentation.
  6. PITCHES MUST BE CONVEYED AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE THROUGH STORIES, that is, anecdotes. An anecdote is a short story that makes a point. Remember, as discussed at length in class, human beings are hard wired to remember stories. Use metaphors instead of descriptive language. Use details. We remember details. Be sure to involve all of the senses in your storytelling: visuals, sounds, smells, tastes, tactile feeling. We do not remember data or bald "information". The pitch must be designed to make an impression and be memorable. Teams must decide what kind of emotional connection they wish to make and how they plan to make that connection. THIS IS WHAT WE CALL YOUR INTENTION! There should only be one intention, it should be clear, though UNSTATED, and everything in your presentation must be geared toward achieving your intention. Volvos make you feel safe; BMWs make you feel important; banks make you feel "secure" or "comfortable" or "smart" depending on which one you deal with. There should never be an "ask" during the pitch. The point is to drum up interest by making an emotional connection to the prospective client. That is where the sale is made.   7. Pitches must have effective openings and closings, chosen from those suggested in your text book. Do not introduce yourselves off the top; just begin, preferably with a story (or a counter-intuitive question, or a famous quote, etc). In closing, don't thank the audience for being there or listening. End on a thought, or an invocation (e.g. a call to action, or a powerful image). "Thank you for listening" is an apology. Don't apologize. If it's not clear the pitch has ended, your closing is not clear enough. Rework it. And again, don't conclude with an "ask".
