please help me to reply to that post:

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) states that employers must provide reasonable accommodations for persons with qualifying disabilities that substantially limit one or more major life activities (Noe, Hollenbeck, Gerhart, Wright. 2021). Some of the accommodations employers must provide can be costly, but others can also cost pretty much nothing. An employee may have diabetes and need to check their blood sugar levels at a certain time after eating. Say 30 minutes after their lunch break, someone can give them a break to check their levels and take insulin if needed. Another example is a person that may have some type of bladder problem and they need an extra bathroom break during the day. Another example that does not cost is someone who has problems standing for long periods of time. They can have a job where they can sit when needed.

The biggest advantage for an employer to provide accommodations to workers with disabilities, I would think, is not having a lawsuit brought against them. Other advantages would be more people would be more willing to work for that company, that company would have a better standing with the community, and it can boost morale which in turn can increase productivity.

I work for Tyson Foods, and this is one company that is concerned with compliance with OSHA. One reason is because we are a major part of the food industry. There are very few places a person can go and there are not some types of Tyson products there. We must make sure to comply with OSHA safety to be sure our food is safe to send to the public to eat. Another company that comes to mind would be a mechanic shop. I have also worked in a mechanic shop as a secretary, and there can be some major OSHA violations. Making sure ladders are good, the lifts for the vehicles, parts being stored overhead, and the list can go on and on.
