Your show cause letter must demonstrate that you are able to identify the factors that have impeded your studies for the first year at university  and, importantly, must detail how you have/will resolve those issues. Your letter should address the issues stated on the Show Cause Application form. 

Step 1 Complete the Show Cause Application Please note in your Show Cause application, you should: 

• Describe the factors which led to your poor academic progress for the first year at university 

• Explain the steps you have taken1 to remove impediments to your academic performance since you were warned or last refused enrolment under the provisions of these rules 

• If you have previously had conditions set by the Associate Dean (Academic) under the provisions of these rules, explain how you have satisfied these conditions
