Please help me troubleshoot this HTB problem i've been having when i'm ssh'd into a target ip. I can't clone github it'll return the message 'fatal could not resolve host'. (Sidenote: No matter how many times i try to spawn a new target ip,restart the lab enviorment, or try a different github link, this will happen, and it's a command I'm meant to be able to do in the lab.) So a classmate said to sftp from my local machine to the lab target ip. i tried doing that. Since im running windows but the lab is linux i'm using git on my local machine. When i try to sftp with htb-student@ it says 'ssh: connect to host 10.129.205.110 port 22: Connection timed out Connection closed'. When I ping the ip 'Pinging 10.129.249.179 with 32 bytes of data: Request timed out. Ping statistics for 10.129.249.179:
Packets: Sent =1, Received =0, Lost =1(100% loss),
Control-C'
And when I try to ssh -v username@targetip it says 'OpenSSH_9.5p1, OpenSSL 3.1.424 Oct 2023
debug1: Reading configuration data /etc/ssh/ssh_config
debug1: Connecting to 10.129.249.179[10.129.249.179] port 22.
debug1: connect to address 10.129.249.179 port 22: Connection timed out
ssh: connect to host 10.129.249.179 port 22: Connection timed out'
Please help me fix this it's important I can do this in these labs. Be as specific as possible i'm not that knowledgeable in this area. THANK YOU! CS
