You studied cost volume profit analysis and standards and the incentives, which are used to motivate employees.

Imagine, that you are a manager of the middle sized family bakery, which is primarily delivering its products to the supermarket chains. Your operation is extremely dependent on the gas prices, which are sky rocketing at the moment. Moreover the market is highly competitive and it is hard for you to compete with the large bakeries, that are able to deliver cheaper products due to the economies of scale.

Bakery is in deeper and deeper loss and the owners are considering at the moment permanent or at least temporary shut down of the bakery.

Include the knowledge from chapters 20, 24 and 25, i.e. cost volume profit analysis, standards and balance scorecard and present a new system of the measurement of the performance and motivation of the employees, which could contribute to the improvement of the situation.
