Project Overview:

The Algonquin College e-Bike_ACV2 project aims to build a functional prototype e-bike with a location tracker and remote locking capability. The e-bike will be designed for use in the city of Ottawa, Canada, and will be equipped with GPS tracking technology to allow users to locate their bikes easily. The remote locking feature will allow users to lock and unlock their bikes using a mobile app, ensuring the safety and security of the bike. Our goal is to do a functional and reliable prototype that can be used in all seasons and all terrains.

Project Objectives:

To design and build a prototype e-bike with a location tracker, remote locking capability and able to drive in all seasons and all terrains in Ottawa Gatineau Area. The emphasis is on the Procurement Management Processes but includes the overall project management exercise.

For Software you have in-house software team which is already overloaded (decision is to buy)

  1. Electrical/Electronic Components

You don't have in-house expertise in Electrical or Electronics, therefore, need to be procured from Third party.

  1. Prototype Assembly

You have the capability to assemble the final product in-house.

NOTE:

This project will be used throughout the term, and we will build the components of the project after learning in our classes. The final project submission will be the executive summary of all the work which we will be doing as in-Class Assignments or discussed on Discussion Boards.
