Please help me write a research paper from English composition course with the following specifications: Your essay should be typed, doublespaced on standardsized paper x A
with margins on all sides.
You should use a clear font that is highly readable. APA recommends using pt
Times New Roman font.
Include a page header also known as the "running head" at the top of every page.
To create a page headerrunning head, insert page numbers flush right. Then type
"TITLE OF YOUR PAPER" in the header flush left using all capital letters. The running
head is a shortened version of your paper's title and cannot exceed characters
including spacing and punctuation.
Sections of an APA Research Paper: your paper should include major sections
Title Page
Abstract
Main Body your three supporting points followed by a short general discussion
paragraph
References.
Section One Title Page
The title page should contain the title of the paper, the author's name, and the
institutional affiliation. Include the page header described above on the left with the
page number on the right at the top of the page.
Pages after the title page should have a running head that looks like this: TITLE OF
YOUR PAPER
Next Type your title in upper and lowercase letters centered in the upper half of the
page. APA recommends that your title be no more than words in length and that it
should not contain abbreviations or words that serve no purpose. Your title may take up
one or two lines. All text on the title page, and throughout your paper, should be doublespaced. Under the title, type the author's name: first name, middle initials and last
name. Under the author's name, type the institutional affiliation, which should
indicate the location where the authors conducted the research. University of Nicosia
Section Two Abstract
Abstract words Although the abstract is the first section of the paper
it is like a summary of the paper so it should be written once you have completed
the outline of the entire paper.
Format Rules for your Abstract Begin a new page. Your abstract page should already
include the running page header described above On the first line of the abstract
page, center the word Abstractno bold, formatting, italics, underlining, or quotation
marks
Beginning with the next line, write a summary of the key points of your research. Do
not indent. Your abstract should contain at least your research topic, research
questions, participants, methods, results, data analysis, and conclusions. You may
also include possible implications of your research and future work you see connected
with your findings. Your abstract should be a single paragraph doublespaced.
You may also want to list keywords from your paper in your abstract To do this, indent
as you would if you were starting a new paragraph, type Keywords: italicized and then
list your keywords. Listing your keywords will help researchers find your work in
databases.
To reflect the fact that it is a summary, your abstract should use present tense
when referring to results and conclusions and past tense when referring to
methods and measurements taken. Do not use future tense.
Reread your essay before writing the abstract to refresh your memory. Pay close
attention to the purpose, methods, scope, results, conclusions, and
recommendations mentioned in your paper.
Write a rough draft of your abstract without looking directly at your paper.
This will help you to summarize without copying key sentences from your paper.
Only include details used in your essay. The abstract exists to summarize your
paper, so including information in the abstract not used in the paper is a little
like false advertising.
Note that you can and should use different wording in your abstract The
information should be the same as the information in your paper, but the way
that information is phrased should differ.
Let the abstract stand alone. The abstract should be phrased in a way that allows it to
be read alone.
