Please help solve the below problems.

Response 1: Use the TI calculator LinReg command to find the correlation coefficient for a classmate's data set and explain what it tells us about the line of best fit.

Response 2: Use the line of best fit from a classmate to make a prediction about the data. You will need to choose an input and find the output and explain the meaning of your prediction in terms of the context of the data.

It goes to show how the total number of alternative fueled cars has changed from 1992-1999.

Using my TI-84 calculator along with the Lin Reg tool on the calculator, I got the y=ax+b.

a = 18891.2

b = -37355464.7

r = .963420437

r2 = .9281789384

Here are the instructions for the Lin Reg function.

Press STAT>Enter to select EDIT>Type in your x Numbers in the L1 column>Go to L2 column and enter y numbers>Press STAT again>Move over to CALC and hit enter>Press 4 or scroll down to Lin Reg (ax+b) and hit enter>Press enter again and this will give you the answer.

Since r is so close to 1, it has a strong positive correlation and same goes with r2.
