For this assignment, you will consider the consequences of acting ethically or unethically. After carefully reading the supplemental ethics materials (Jennings handout), discuss fully the ethical issues related to this case. (1) Categorize the ethical dilemma(s), (2) examine the matter from other perspectives, (3) describe any possible rationalizations, and nally, (4) use at least one of the ethics models to resolve the situation. You will also be graded on grammar, spelling and punctuation. Your answer must be typed (double-spaced, font size 12) and between 600 to 1000 words in length. GRADING RUBRIC Writing assignments will be graded on the depth of the arguments, the analysis, coherence, and editing (grammar and mechanical correctness). (7.5 percent of nal class grade) The Case Agriforce Corp. manufactures and sells farm equipment. In 2017, Agriforce set up a wholly- owned subsidiary, Harvest Combines, Inc., whose only business was to market Agriforce's self- propelled combine harvesters and fourwheel-drive tractors. The sales of both products were at an all-time low. Even though Agriforce was the owner of Harvest, the law considers them to be separate companies. Agriforce convinced current and former employees who were involved with the products to accept transfers of their jobs and retirement benets plans from Agriforce to Harvest. Agriforce expected Harvest to fail, and indeed, within two years, Harvest did fail. Among other consequences, the retirement plan for current Harvest employees was terminated, plus the retirees stopped receiving benets as well.
