Please help with his case study for Gender and Diversity in Leadership and thank you!
Imagine you are the CEO of a company that sells workout clothes and athleisure for women. Part of your brand and marketing strategy over the past five years has been to focus on women's empowerment. Your ads feature women of all races, ethnicities, abilities, and backgrounds, and your clothes come in a wide array of sizes so that all women can shop your brand. This has proven to be an effective strategy, and your company revenue has soared over the last year. As such, your company has scaled up, and you now employ close to 500 full-time employees.
Today, your director of human resources alerted you that she has received several reports from female employees that the company's director of marketing, who is a white man in his 40s, harassed them over the course of the last few years. The complaints include specific allegations that he made sexist jokes about the models used in company advertisements, that he would often comment on female employee's looks, weight loss or gain, and clothing choices, and that he singled out female employees of color by making overtly sexual comments to them.
What have be done as CEO to address this problem? What can have done about the director of marketing? How can we communicate this problem to your entire staff? What changes can be make, if any, to company policies to ensure that this doesn't happen again? Is it okay to interact with the press at all? , What first steps can be taken to address this problem and why.
