(PLEASE MAKE A 200 WORD RESPONSE TO THIS) I am in favor of the free trade agreement. I feel that anyone that wants to participate with us in an agreement to sell their products and goods should be allowed to, under the right circumstances. Importing goods and products from agreed countries of the world is great and beneficial to most countries and companies. In a specific country, if everything does not work out for every single company, at the end of the day, we are all better off from free trade agreements and we all win in some way. International trade is beneficial. Free trade agreements stimulate the economy positively and an open market does better than a market that is closed. The fears of a globalized business environments are legitimate. The loss of jobs in America, by moving companies to different countries instead of just doing business with them, causes many Americans to lose jobs that we desperately need here. The loss of jobs in America is not a good thing, but we simply need to create more jobs and not move our companies over to different countries. Some companies move their jobs to different countries to get cheaper labor, which affects our jobs in America, and that is not good. The abuse of human rights is completely horrible, to say the least, and no one should have to work or live in unacceptable conditions. It is really sad to think about people working in dangerous and unhealthy conditions. It hurts to know that people are suffering to make all the cute clothes I have. Forced labor is absolutely wrong as well. Forced labor is free trade, but that is not fair trade. Whether you are forced or not, no one should be working in unhealthy and dangerous conditions that is detrimental to human life. Climate change is another fear and problem when it comes to free trade. Not every country is doing their part to contribute to the prevention of climate change. However, some companies are making changes to accommodate climate change. I feel that if a company does not do their part to protect our climate, which is our world, we should not work with those companies until they do so. We need to give the companies that do not participate in stopping climate change an incentive to participate if they want to be in the free trade agreement. By cutting off their cash flow, these companies and countries will be inclined to participate in better practices to save our world. Honestly, the abuse of human rights is the worst situation on this list of fears for the free trade agreement. I am completely against the abuse of others, and that needs to be addressed. This is the main problem I have. I believe it can get better though, and it has to. I want the abuse of human rights to change, but I do not know how America can police another country 24/7. I do believe we need better regulations. Maybe, America can do random inspections like they do for restaurants to see if they are up to par and check on other countries' factories frequently to ensure that the overseas working conditions are not sweat shops. If that means that the cost of goods and products has to go up for the workers in other countries to be safe, I am okay with that. I do not agree with the sweat shops, whatsoever, in how they have children and poor men and women working in dangerous conditions. The conditions in these sweat shops are deplorable and inhumane. However, I do feel that the problems with people not being in favor of the free trade agreement can be changed. Therefore, I still believe that we should have a free trade agreement, and hopefully, these problems I listed in this paragraph will continued to be addressed and changed in the near future. Economic environment is affected by globalization in the ability to make more money and receive cheaper products, because production costs are cheaper. Poorer countries can make more money because they are able to cover more areas of the world to attain money. Having a free trade agreement is a huge opportunity for poorer countries. Poorer countries are also able to reach countries with more money to buy their products, and that benefits them and their country. Countries that are already well off can continue to get wealthier by reaching a wider range of people from other countries. Personally, if I sold products and goods on the internet, I would want my products and goods to reach farther than my backyard. Free trade agreements allow for that to happen, and many people benefit from free trade because of this. Free trade agreements provide greater opportunities for many businesses and companies that are in agreement
