Assuming you prepare monthly statements for interested partie s. These ‘statements’ show the end of month balance and a summary of cash flows [sources of funds and uses]. You keep separate records from your bank and must reconcile the bank balance with your checking account balance. When you submit the statements, you assert they are ‘fairly presented’ and meet the relevant assertions [see ch. 16] for cash [occurrence, accuracy, completeness, cutoff, classification]. You are aware that your statements are subject to AICPA F/S audits.
