*This is an assignment we have to do:

Reading: After graduation from KPU, you start a new job working in the Environmental Toxicology lab for the National Research Council Canada. Your first assignment is to work with a client that is developing a new pesticide called Wormsicorpse. This chemical will be used by raspberry, Rubus idaeus, farmers in the Fraser Valley to kill nematode soil pathogens in the genus Pratylenchus. In order to bring this product to market, the client must demonstrate that it is not harmful to local wildlife. Pesticides and other chemicals can be carried into aquatic ecosystems by agricultural runoff where they can impact the growth and survival of aquatic animals. For example, if the pesticide enters the Vedder River that runs through this agricultural area, it could negatively impact the rainbow trout, Oncorhynchus mykiss, that live in the river (Figure 1).

Pesticides, such as Wormsicorpse, have been found to impact the growth and development of fish including many species of trout. For example, previous research has found that concentrations of Wormsicorpse greater than 0.15 g/L can slow the growth of brown trout, Salmo trutta, a species related to the rainbow trout.

7. What result would you predict if your alternate hypothesis is supported by your experiment? Draw a simple graph that clearly shows this imagined result of your specific experiment. It is not necessary to include exact values, just the relative results you would expect for each group in your experiment. Be sure to include a descriptive caption for your graph. Several weeks later they emerge as 25mm long fry
